Destined for the field of entertainment, Alicia Marie Phidd, a multi-discipline artist started in amateur modeling during college and 15 years later she entered performance art with her spoken word talent. She debut on the professional music scene when she was booked as the opening act for Howard Hewett and After 7 in concert in 2007. Ms. Phidd is an author, host of the podcast Behind The News: The Briefing, writer and spoken word artist and her entertainment career will bring it altogether. She is a musical recording artist with the PRO company ASCAP. She released several singles and an EP Don't Label It! in 2020. She also released her nonfiction Success Is Subjective: Give yourself a #checkmark. Ms. Phidd is the daughter of a pageant title holder, who received first runner up as well as best legs from the parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica. Alicia's mother's legacy empowered her to know she would have an impact in entertainment. It was just a matter of when. She is looking forward to working with Tyler Perry one day and opening for a Jill Scott and Erykah Badu concert.
