Where the Berlin Wall previously divided the world in front of the Brandenburg Gate, today the heart of the Spree metropolis beats again. The film portrait of the German capital shows how East and West continue to grow together into one of the most exciting cities in Europe. Unter den Linden, the old boulevard that connects the Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz, leads past the Neue Wache, the Humboldt University, the Gendarmenmarkt, the Museum Island, the Berlin Cathedral, the Nikolaiviertel and the Red Town Hall. It continues from the Reichstag through the government district to Bellevue Palace. History and stories accompany the way through Berlin: Check Point Charlie, Potsdamer Platz, Kudamm, Bahnhof Zoo and the Olympic Stadium. Other highlights include a boat trip on the Spree, a detour to the Wannsee and finally to the Sanssouci Palace.
