What could possibly be next? Let’s talk about it! Minor Mutations: · Preacher premieres May 22 at 10pm · Suicide Squad New Team Poster plus Joker! · More Civil War Action Posters · Deadpool passes 700 million worldwide · Shredder’s new look revealed · First image from The Killing Joke Flashback: Daredevil (2003) On the heels of the success of Blade, X-Men, and Spider-Man, lots of comic book superheroes got optioned and developed, and Daredevil was one of the the next films out of the gates. Ben Affleck was cast as attorney Matt Murdock, with Jennifer Garner playing Elektra, Michael Clarke Duncan as the Kingpin, and Colin Farrell bringing a psychotic turn as Bullseye, this movie adaptation tried to merge lots of the famous comic run of Frank Miller, alongside Daredevil’s origin story. Spotlight: Atlas Comics This weeks spotlight shines on Atlas Comics, and their superhero brand of characters. I remember this series of comics best from my childhood, with The Destructor, Grim Ghost, Iron Jaw, Wulf the Barbarian, Tiger-Man, Planet of Vampires, Man-Monster, Demon-Hunter, Man-Stalker, and The Brute all peeking my monster obsessed interests. They had talents like Steve Ditko and Rich Buckler handling the art, while This series had a strange vibe to each comic, offbeat and weird, combining monsters with heroes, and attempting to create their own universe with some crossovers. Could this collection of superhero/monster properties make a good television series or feature film?
