BUFFALO, WYOMING: Having lived on the road for 20+ years it takes a lot for me to be impressed by a hotel room. Hotels, especially in the USA, are generally a complete ripp-off and borderline scam considering what they charge for a simple night's stay in a spartan 4 by 4 meter soulless room. The Occidental hotel of Buffalo Wyoming, which dates back to the 1870s and still has all the original interior intact, bucks this trend. In fact, this is the best and most unique hotel I have ever stayed at regardless of country! It is so good it's worth flying to Wyoming just to stay here if you have an interest in the history of America's Old Wild Wild West. But it is not available through the usual booking sites such as hotels.com or booking.com The Historic Occidental Hotel of Buffalo Wyoming make a living solely based upon their excellent reputation and word of mouth. Hence if you wanna book a stay here you've got to go through their website direct or give them a call.
